End of the Year Book Survey pt. 1: 2014 Reading Stats

December 20, 2014 uncategorized 2

The End of the Year Book Survey is hosted by The Perpetual Page Turner. This is the first year I’ve done this but from what I’ve seen on other blogs it seems like so much fun! There are lots and lots of parts to the book survey so I’ll be splitting it up into separate posts. For now, here are my 2014 reading stats!

Number of Books Read

164 books – of which 1 was a DNF and 14 were novellas

That’s so far. I know that I’ll probably read a lot more between now and the very end of the year.

Number of ReReads

Well dam, this is a hard one. A lot of the time I will skim reread books and reread the majority of the book but I don’t tend to add them to Goodreads again. I know that I’ve reread the whole of the Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh, and I’ve reread a lot of Ilona Andrews books but aside from that I’ve got no clue. Moving on.

Genre I Read the Most From

YA is easily the age category that I read the most of but surprisingly, I read more adult than new adult this year.

As for genre, fantasy is the winner.

That’s it for my 2014 stats. This post was pretty easy to make and I think coming up with the best of 2014 will be a lot harder ;) Let me know in the comments what your year has been like!
