Bought

I actually bought these a while ago, just after NYD, but I haven’t done an StS post for a while. I have read Wolf By Wolf, which was AMAZING (seriously, I need the sequel), but I haven’t picked up the other two yet. I have to say thanks to my boyfriend since he gave me the Waterstone’s giftcard! <3

Weekly Review

Agh, back at university. So far I’ve enjoyed this semester a lot (only two weeks in but I’ll go with it). I’ve been going out with friends a lot more – fajita nights! – and I’ve managed to do a little bit of reading.

As I said, I finished Wolf By Wolf and oh my gosh the author surprised me. I don’t tend to pick up YA books centred around WWII but Graudin did an amazing job of making me adore all the characters, including ones I didn’t even wan to care about. After that I started Snow Like Ashes but I’ve literally only read one chapter so I’ll have to read more to see what I think. I also did a reread of Empire of Storms and that ending gets me every single time. Cannot wait for more SJM later this year!

This semester is going so quickly and in 3 weeks I’ll be home again! Can’t wait to see the family and my boyfriend and maybe restock my uni TBR pile :)

Same! The moment I finished Wolf By Wolf I checked if the local library had the sequel but sadly not. Thanks for stopping by :)

Haha I also would have gone with the ebook if it was on sale :) I heard a ton of good things about Passenger when it was released so I hope it lives up to my expectations. Thanks for stopping by!

Eeeep! Is it weird that I’m extremely excited that I’ve read almost all of the books in your haul? That never happens. :D I loved Wolf by Wolf (and Blood for Blood – though book one more). Passenger and Wayfarer were interesting and very well-written books! I haven’t read When We Collided but I have a copy. Whoops. o_o I’m curious to see what you’ll think of Snow Like Ashes… I thought the book was okay but I hated book two. Couldn’t even read book three. -_- I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Have a fabulous weekend, Zareena. =)

Haha not weird at all! Yes Wolf By Wolf was so good, way better than I was expecting :) I probably won’t read Passenger for a while but I should get through Snow Like Ashes soon. That’s so disappointing that book 2 was bad :/ Thanks so much for stopping by, Alyssa!

    • Zareena (The Slanted Bookshelf)

Ooh I’ll keep that in mind. I’ve left Passenger at home but when I go home for the weekend I’ll remember to try and get Wayfarer to go with it. Thanks Jessica!

The only Emmery Lord book that I’ve read is Open Road Summer but I absolutely adored it and hope When We Collided is just as good! Yes, Wolf By Wolf was really good, definitely worth a read :) Thanks for stopping by!

You have a great book haul. I want to read Wolf by Wolf and Passenger. I also need to read Snow Like Ashes and I hope you end up enjoying it. This is one of the books that’s received a lot of hype so I’m curious about it. I hope you have a great week!
